FeedBlitz Releases Custom FeedBurner FeedFlare Add-Ins

Thursday, February 09, 2006

Yesterday, FeedBurner announced the publication of their FeedFlare API (application programming interface).

As FeedBurner's email service partner, FeedBlitz is proud to be releasing its first FeedFlare extensions based on the API for any FeedBurner feed, whether or not the publisher is using the FeedBlitz / FeedBurner email integration.

FeedBurner publishers can add the following to their feeds and their blogs:

If you use these, don't forget to check the boxes to enable them! The changes take effect when you save the FeedFlare settings. They will, of course, appear in FeedBlitz emails as well as almost every other RSS aggregator.

I have just tried to import this one: http://www.feedblitz.com/feedflare/feedblitz_advisor.xml but the reader says: RSS format error: This feed is not a valid rss or atom. It doesn't have all required elements.

Sincerely
Khalid

That is the XML for feedadvisor which you use in FeedBurner; it's not an RSS feed.

Thanks Phil,

How accurately should I put it?
And why it ends with the extension file.xml?

I know the required elements are just this extension whatever its name is.xml or .atom

Appreciated

Yours sincerely in Peace,,,Love and Global Prosperity

At the moment it's a literal search. So if your feed is something on "marketing" just try "marketing" . If you know the name or URL, enter some of that and you'll find them. You can type in "space.com" for example and it will find all the feeds for space.com - you don't need to know or type the exact URL, which helps prevent typos from messing up the search.
